Ah, how I hate things like that. I need to recon­fi­gure some ker­nel stuff, so I have to reboot. But the machine has been so good: 

[plato:~]# uptime
 6:39PM  up 375 days, 13:20, 6 users, load averages: 1.73, 4.23, 5.76

It hurts.
