Boing­Bo­ing quo­tes Bruce Schnei­er as say­ing the Hous­ton Air­port is now going to have Anti-Ter­ror Cow­boys riding around, secu­ring the peri­me­ter. All it takes is the wil­ling­ness and a posi­ti­ve back­ground check. 

Come on, peo­p­le. How many of the Sep­tem­ber 11 ter­ro­rists would have suc­cee­ded in pas­sing that test? And if you make the test likely to catch even peo­p­le who have as good a social stan­ding as they had, isn’t it likely to be con­tes­ted in court for racial discrimination?
