If surveillance and state security in the forms of limiting personal freedoms or rights really would effectively battle terrorism, why does Russia—a country run by a former KGB agent, nonetheless!—have a terror problem? If fighting terror with military means, with attacking countries and bombing cities, is a winning strategy, why is Israel—a country run by an ex-general—still facing terrorism?
All that terror!
